So, if you really feel you need to use cheats to boost your way through the early game then you've clearly learned NOTHING, the early game is pathetic once you know what to do and if you can't go through it fast the 2nd/3rd time then you'll get eaten alive later on anyway. You think you're cool because you dealt with every situation in the game with your melee character? well, a caster will be presented with different problems and vice-versa, so it would be interesting having to find different solutions to those problems.

Just go watch some walkthrough on youtube and save you the pain and frustration because it's not a game you'll enjoy.Īlso there are many things to do that you'll hardly see in 1 playthrough, like joining the different covenants or killing/saving certain npcs and of course trying different playstyles. If you just want to get your perfect character in the 1st run and then forget about the game forever then you got the wrong game. And again, that's the whole nature of Dark Souls. Your first character is going to suck, period, and maybe the 2nd to 3rd will do too depending on if you give up midway and start a new one or just keep at it. That applies to building your character too.

It's in the nature of Dark Souls to not know what to do and make horrible mistakes because of it but as long as you don't give up you'll learn and make progress. Then later on you'll discover new stuff in the game that will make you think you ruined the character again, or that you could take an interesing twist to it, etc.īut with everything new you learn, like how different sections are connected, or where are the specific items you want to use, or what are good places to farm something, etc. To tell the truth this is the kind of game where if you start a new character things will go smoothly and waaaaay faster than the first time as long as you learned things along the way.
